A review of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel and A review of the African Extracts Hydrating Creamy Cleanser
If you remember my 2019 goals post, then you remember that I'm trying to clear my breaking out, which was the mood for 2018. And on the way to that, I want to hydrate my skin AF! So far, I have tried to be very diligent about doing a routine day and night. I've also gone back to using the 3-in-1 wash from The Body Shop, which had been my go-to the last time my skin was remotely okay. I just think if I can get back to that okayness and start building from there, things will be much better of.

An early review of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
I finally bought another product from the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range. Last year I used, and loved!, the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Wash and I enjoyed it. I just didn't buy it again because while I liked it, I felt one wash product was enuf.

I really like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel! I have been so good at using it, I think two days in, I started using it even in my night skincare routine, before the moisturiser. I enjoy the gel consistency of the product, it's very cooling and perfect for the season. I also like how the gel feels on my face. Once dry, there isn't some stickiness or sweatiness left after.

I can't wait to see the results and write about this product when I see a little more results. What I will say is that it's here to stay in my routine.

An early review of the African Extracts Hydrating Creamy Cleanser
A few weeks ago, I read fellow blogger Lungi of By Lungi's post on how she hydrates her skin. I commented saying that's my goal for the year and starting is going to be a thing but I'm glad for her post. She responded by sending me an email asking if she could send me some hydration bits she had. I said HELL YEAH and one of those products is the African Extracts Hydrating Creamy Cleanser.

I was telling my sister that this "red" range of African Extracts is quite expensive but other than the night oil (which I will try since the rosehip oil is not materialising), moisturisers and the serum, there are affordable products in the range including this cleanser. The African Extracts Rooibos range is interesting to me from an ingredients point because of how they go on about antioxidants.

I've also been using this frequently, most evenings and at least four times a week in the morning. I like that it doesn't lather. It's a lotion-y consistency and does not create foam. So far, I'm more than happy to buy a tube when this runs out. Of course, when the season changes, things might change to but so far so good.

I have been enjoying the addition of these two products and will hopefully be back in a month or so with fuller reviews, let me know if you'd be into that. Thank you for reading!

Here's a picture of what kind Lungi sent me!
