Or the afternoon I unleashed my full "Girls with Decks" potential at a Tsogo Sun event

Recently, for work, I got to go on a tour of Tsogo Sun's best sundowner spots in Johannesburg. The media event was a whirlwind but was fulfilling. We zoomed around the city going from Southern Sun in Montecasino to 54 on Bath in Rosebank; we then did a smol detour to Southern Sun Hyde Park and ended the evening at San Deck in Sandton. It was all so very cute!

Visiting these different decks felt like a look behind something of a mythical curtain. The decks life -- especially after work -- isn't exactly how I'm living. But a couple of the Tsogo Sun Sundowner spots resonated with me, I could see myself sitting there way too long and laughing too hard. Look at me optimism-ng and whatnot.

I was pretty stuck on my water but then I remembered it's meant to be a sundowners thing and decided to order the one drink that hasn't let me down yet: gin and tonic. Both instances of the drank were pleasant.

When I saw the group message about the event, my manager enquiring if anyone on our team was kee, my hearty "YES" was all due to the fact that they offered uber rides. This is a great way to live if I'm being honest. Worrying about how you are going to get to places is the worst. Tsogo Sun, of course, offered the service because of the nature of the event. Not only was there alcohol but the dashing across Johannesburg would have made it hard to keep track of cars for those who have them.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the event, even though I started with an awkward and quiet start. My verdict on the numerous decks of Tsogo Sun? I could spend a quiet evening every other week at San Deck with people I really like. Entering 54 on Bath was breathtaking and I will return every time I am able -- whether or not the deck is involved.

Finally, San Deck

I'm going to insert the short video I took into this pot when I have posted it, just to give you another view of the afternoon-evening. What's your favourite sundowners spot in your city? What do you like about it?
