What I ordered when we had lunch at Milk Bar
If you remember my first mornings post (I promise, I've meant to do others since but it just hasn't worked out for me), you may remember mention of a little restaurant called Milk Bar. Or the pictures I took of it. Anyway. I finally had the chance to go inside the restaurant and, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the menu.

One of my colleagues has recently left the company I work for, for greener pastures and our team gathered for one last hurrah. It was on the team's entertainment and was a fun afternoon away from the desk if I'm being honest. Was I sceptical going in? Yes. Would I have lunch at Milk Bar again? Yes.

As usual, I was overwhelmed and looking at different things, trying to guess which item would be the most delicious and most satisfying. I looked for mean, obviously, looked for bacon and the usual. I ended up going for a burger.

So ordered my lamb burger and was (pleasantly) surprised to see that, instead of a bun, they use igwinya. The burger sounded like it was missing a little something, even with the addition of atchar. So I order extra bacon on it and it was delicious AF. I liked the sweet and sour taste (mustard seed and apricot with atchar) but was not even trying to taste the almond nuts, so I asked they not be added.

Desert came in the form of my favourite, Paul's Homemade Ice Cream. When we were ordering dessert, I advised (TOLD) everyone at the table, especially the farewell bbz, to get birthday cake flavoured ice cream but they were all too wishy-washy. By the time they decided I was, in fact, right, it was all gone and they had to settle for some other flavour, which was just as delicious.
