I made this travel photo diary, meant to be a glimpse of my trip to the Eastern Cape, using the Huji app.

If you follow me on Instagram, you likely saw that I was experiencing a change of scene! I was in the Eastern Cape with SA Tourism as a part of a media tour on behalf of my job. It was an amazing experience! The travel hiccups that came with missing my flight notwithstanding, the trip was a dream. It was also my first time in the Eastern Cape and I hope it's the first time of many. Here I share a few of the gems and tourist attractions I saw in the Eastern Cape.

The tour started in Port Elizabeth, where we spent the first day and night. We then moved to St Francis on the second day and moved to Tsitsikamma in Kouga for two days.

I had the bright idea, after arriving in Port Elizabeth, that I was going to take a few pictures on the trip using the Huji app, which I'd just started toying with. This was risky af because not only am I new at using the app, I also couldn't really see what I was doing and constantly checking would slow things up. I'm so glad that most of the pictures came out well. Scroll through my Huji travel photo diary below.

Day One: Port Elizabeth
We hit the ground running on Monday. We took a walking tour of Route 67 in Nelson Mandela Bay. From going inside the tall AF campimile, to walking around the city centre, PE had demands and we met them. The walk, which lasted for about two hours, was followed by lunch, which was by far the best meal of the trip for me. I had umgqushu and this dope bread, rostekoek. After lunch, we went to Sunday's River where we took a short boat ride and went sand dunes. I didn't surf but I did fall.

Day Two: St Francis:
St Francis is gorgeous and caucasian. Everything about this day, including the bitterly cold boat cruise, was gorgeous! This day was definitely more about take ng it easy, which we all did. Not pictured is the hour or so in the late afternoon that we spent riding around St Francis Links on golf carts. Caucasian living, I tell you!

Day Three: St Francis 🚐 Tsitsikamma:
We had to leave St Francis too soon! In the morning we did one last activity in the tow, which was visiting the harbour. It was cold AF. After that, we headed to Tsitsikamma, where the adventure resumed.

I'm hoping to have the video content go up this week but I haven't started the edits so lol. It'll take as long as it takes.

Have you travelled to the Eastern Cape before? What was your favourite thing to do there?
