Talking about jeans again

Documenting the less than ordinary outfits matters too...
The last time I wrote about wearing jeans, I elevated them from the casual to a much more meaningful, which was relevant because of course. At the time, it felt a little magic as I hadn't worn them consistently ever let alone owning them until then. Clothes get too fucking complicated when you are fat and can't find anything you like in your size.

You know these jeans. I am wearing them in this outfit and I wear them a few times a month -- even tho yesterday (yes, I was wearing them) someone at work exclaimed that I am wearing jeans stating she'd never seen me wearing jeans. This is the same job that when I I wear jeans, a girl from another department makes sure to pay me a compliment. Anyway. This isn't even about that.

This is about wanting to document even more. With blogging and an always-on sort of social media attitude, I think I'm documenting more than I am. But there are clothing items in my chest of drawers that have never seen the inside of a picture -- let alone an outfit post. These are clothes I really enjoy and find comforting but because of that nature. The actually-wearing-these-clothes-so-I-can-run-out-the-door nature of a lot of the clothes, they go unappreciated and undocumented.

So for a few weeks, I tried to remember to take pictures on the days I was wearing these jeans, just to remember. When looking at pictures I was struck by how unremarkable the outfits were but surely that's also valid. Waiting for a "LOOK" to happen is part of the reason I fall back on my outfit posting. Also as someone who struggles with being in the world, I think the "unremarkable" outfits matter too because they are part of the story of how I fight to leave bed daily.

Or whatever.

This last outfit made me realise that the dress is legit now a duster. I didn't buy it with the intention of wearing it as a dress but for a while, it fit like a too-short dress (which it was!) but this last wear showed me a dress serious about its life as a duster. Woza autumn.

The jeans again:

I'm waiting for a cute pair of jeans from Asos so that's bound to be boring but sensible.

What have you been wearing a lot recently?
