SOUNDS TO SOOTHE AND COMFORT

There’s nothing that comforts or “soothes” me quite like listening to a song I enjoy until each of the beats feels like the hair on my arms.  I’ve previously spoken about my music and sound traditions in the context of my daily commute. These are three songs (and a mix) I love and you might too.
MERCY BY SIXGHOST (FEATURING X)

X has once of my favourite voices and my enjoyment of this song is strictly owed to them. This song is especially important because they seem to have removed their other music from soundcloud (which, do you boo) so I'm listening to Mercy as often as possible.

UYANG'KHUMBULA BY FAKA

When I first listened to Faka’s latest song, Uyang’khumbula,  I called the mood INFINITE VOSHO and did I lie? Wow, you are welcome.

MIX FOR POMP 4 BY PHATSTOKI

This mix got me through the December rush period at my previous job is something that resembled "one piece" I hope it saves you too. I would 100 percent leave the house to watch Phatstoki play (away from Kitcheners).

MOONBEAMS BY IRRELEVANT PAPI

Monday is a holy day.  Black Rivaldo is coming out – in preparation, here’s Moonbeams. Watch the Phuma Sathane Records bandcamp page for the gravy.

Currently worried that I'll never get on something that resembles a posting schedule. But I'm still here. You can (most consistently, anyway,) find me on Twitter.
