ackermans bra sizes, ackermans bigger bras, ackermans underwear sizes,
The history of me writing about Ackermans new, bigger bra sizes, like most things, started with me making cultural commentary inspired by an advert to my sister. She's so patient. After seeing the ad for Aackermans bigger bra sizes I wondered out loud how much bigger the sizes could possibly because all the models in the commercial had average sized breasts. Don't get me started on plus size modelling.

What I learnt in store (several because I had dreams) is that Ackermans have expanded their bra sizing in the right direction. And it's a great start.

We've all seen that statistic about the percentage of women who wear the incorrect bra size. And to it, I say a big ol' duh. My problem has always been the backs. At present, even with their expanded range, Ackermans offer up to only a 44. And they went fast! The 44 in any cup size is a unicorn in my book. Rare. Trust me, I went to several outlets.
I would love to see Ackermans expand the back sizing of their bra offering. And maybe offer a an in-store measurement service to customers. They do have a bra size calculator online but I only have a measuring tape because of my shop. Trying the bras on before you buy is not an option because of how they're packaged for display.

How exactly have Ackermans expanded their bra sizes? Well, they now make up to a G cup! Seeing that selection of sizes made me question my own practices. As I've gained weight in the past five years I've been quicker to upsize in the back than the cup. As a result, I'm pretty sure I've worn the incorrect cup for too long.

The Aackermans R30 off promotion on all bras may have ended but their prices re still quite affordable. There will be more styles/designs coming in the next few months. It was really good seeing all those cute styles available.

You stand a chance of winning one of two bra sets (pictured above). On my last attempt to track down a size 44 band and accepting it would be a waste to buy one anyways because it would be too small, I decided to buy the biggest sizes I could find of the cutest sets. I ended up with two* sets of 42 backs in F and G cups. And two lucky readers will get a package from me, containing one of the sets. The first set (the lacy numbers) is the 42 F and the second the 42 G.

Bra Style note: Neither of the bra sets are padded but both have underwires.

To enter, visit my Facebook page, comment on the post where I share this post with which bra set you would like to win. Only those comments will be put into the draw. (You are still welcome to share your bra shopping woes with me in this circle in the comments below!) Sadly the competition is only open nationally. I will do the draw next Wednesday!

{UPDATE: Winner was contacted. The 42G bras still need a home. If you'd like them, send me an email or dm or message on FB.}

How have your bra shopping experiences been?

*I was sent a gift card to try the new sizing, which is how I bought the prizes for this giveaway. The competition is in no way associated with Ackermans.
