The Puma Creative Factory. Faces and Style.

As is to be expected I shot too many photographs, most of which were of people At the creative factory.

The Puma Creative Factory.

I was lucky enough to win a ticket to go to The Puma Creative Factory last Saturday. It was a day event at which I found myself at The Grove, again. No complaints from me there --it's a pretty little place. I decided to make a bag and not a t-shirt -- this will always go down as a controversial decision in my sub-consciousness. Since when do I like tote bags more than I like printed t-shirts? I was pretty bummed when the negative I chose did not take. Hmm. Anyway. In this series of photographs you'll see the basic process I followed in order to create my bag. At the very end you'll see my pin-hole camera making FOMO.

Getting Lippy | Q & A

Hey everyone!
I know I've been quite scarce on these streets these few days and I don't have much of an excuse for it. This post is basically made up of my favourite lipstick shots and answering questions that the lovely Jamara Brown asked when she gave me the Liebster blogging award. I won't do the whole process because I have already done it once before here and it was fun but nobody answered my questions and stuff. Anyway. I'll answer the questions after the jump. There are more lipstick photos.

Frank Ocean For Band of Outsiders

When I saw the link to this on my twitter feed and proceeded to the article on The Fader (recently -- an hour ago -- dubbed the best magazine I've never read) I did so with excitement. Frank Ocean for me is one of the most refreshing young artists out right now! You can tell he's a cool kid but he seems humble and kind, which makes him come across as approachable (I could see myself walking up to him and saying how much I like Thinking About You and him smiling back his appreciation) thus making him cooler.  These polaroids (they shot him in polaroid!) are of his campaign as a Band of Outsiders Spokesmodel.

Love from Jo'burg,

PS: Fridays after a public holiday are always the worst. I hope you kids are good.

People-Watching | Word 'n Sound x Slaghuis

Today I'd rather be at Adidas Area 3 viewing the Before They Were Great exhibition. I imagine it takes people-watching to the next level. Alas, I'm broke and stuff. These are photos I took sometime in January when Word 'N Sound came to Soweto. It was a fun afternoon. My camera was in a mood so the photos aren't the greatest. Fun Fact: all the photos I took of Nova on this day came out blurry. At least I have a video of part of her performance. Happy  Saturday!
